Ridged Titans draw this common name from their hulking stature relative to other cryptobiotic life found thus far, and are the first to be discovered among the Convallis family. This species also features a clearly defined nucleolus concealed beneath the churning valleys and deep ridges that permeate its otherwise smooth outer surface.
