Saint Pris of the Replicants

This piece is inspired by Pris, the tragic replicant character from cult tech noir legend "Blade Runner". It draws a parallel between her short lived existence (and death at the hands of a blade runner) and the lives of saints who were sacrificed for their belief. In that same manner, Pris' belief that her kind deserves to not have an expiration date is what brings her downfall. Blessed are the skinjobs. This is not a 3D piece. Hand-painted layers parallaxed, scaled and rotated to give the illusion of volume and depth. Painted in Photoshop, animated in After Effects.
