“I had an assignment to photograph Michelle Kwan, and we decided to do it on a rooftop of an office building in midtown Manhattan. I bought a piece of black plexiglass and created a platform to reflect the sky. I lit her with one strobe and let her move through her poses and motions. As you can see, it's a smoggy day, but it adds to the beauty of the image. Plus, she's such a beautiful and graceful woman. It was one of those moments where everything worked out.
