The idea of synthetic life has been with me since very young. I read Asimov's "Foundation" series when I was 10, and many other sci-fi works which had A.I. in some form or another. In one of Asimov's last books in "Foundation", he describes a kind of "robot" that is essentially indistinguishable from humans. Fast-forward a few years and I'm thinking about the same thing as I watch "Westworld"... Could it ever be done? Could we one day synthesize life? Self-replicating molecules with something other than carbon as a base?
Also, if you noticed the 'glitch' and were bothered by it, don't be. It's an imperfection that I left there deliberately as part of the piece. Evolution would not have go...
