With this piece I am following my inspiration with my Tarot series and chose to start working on the Major Aracana from the thirteenth card; the Death.
Death is one of the most iconic and naturally considered the scariest of the cards in the Tarot. Of all the renditions of Death, I found the depiction as a knight on horseback featured in the Rider-Waite-Smith deck most fascinating visually and symbolically, and I wanted to base my drawing on that - of course taking it to my own direction from there.
