King's Dilemma

King's Dilemma was made with MSPaint in 2018. I like to work with Paint because of it's unforgiving simplicity and there is some nostalgia to it as well. Often times when i begin a drawing i don't know what it is going to be about - In this way the process is quite organic. I start adding and erasing lines, until i see something and as i keep working on it the meanings unfold and grow with the drawing. A strange lump turns into a bumblebee, that would have these mythic antlers sitting on a a bottlecap, partly inspired by insect characters in an old game i used to play.
