In 1952, author Gaston Criel talks about the subconscious and the artist's projection of their own superrealities. This superreality is deeply personal, contingent to individual. It reveals something about who they are. In every artist, there exists an "inner world" unique to their own subconscious. However, the quality differs for each artist. Different subconsciousness, different quality of inner worlds, different ways in which thoughts operate. As for this piece, my brain went like this: "Here’s a lone lab in remote Canada, the windchill bites and it's warm inside."
