As a metaphysical position, Solipsism comes further to the conclusion that the world and other minds do not exist. The self being the only thing that can be known and verified...this absorption with oneself goes without any consideration for the needs and desires of others. This kind of attitude seems to be still popular until today and can be looked at every day on TV watching the news.
