A particular art genre has been in my mind lately. I feel that Magic Realism is a subject that is not very easy to capture in visual art. When real-life representation embraces magic as though it is part of the natural world so evidently yet subtle, such that it can remain in between Fantasy and Non-fiction, a strange, new realm is created. Maybe even a cousin of Surrealism. Magic is framed in the context of representational art, regardless of the style in which it is presented—naturalized yet still mystical.
