Drink from the Dark

It gets pretty dark here towards the winter, at the very northern parts there is a period when the sun don't rise above the horizon for weeks. That along with the increasingly cold weather can be quite a depressing time. The way i ended up working on in this in little bits over a long period of time, reminded me of the scrimshaw made by whalers or similar crafts done by soldiers in trenches, when it was too dark to do anything useful outside. It is interesting how these harsh conditions can bring the creativity in us, which was kind of where i was going with this aswell.
