What is the purpose of exploring? Why search the unknown and probe its depths? Wouldn't it be easier to simply stay where it is comfortable? The answer is yes, it would be easier, but for some reason from time to time humans do not prefer what is easiest. Perhaps there is enrichment to be had in venturing out into somewhere strange. The predominant benefit of exploring is in my opinion the fact that when we are in an unfamiliar place we find ourselves. The things new stimuli provide to us often lead to discoveries both in us and outside us that we would never find in heavily ventured ground.
