Artist's Description:
We're surrounded by Avatars; virtual selves that embody aspects of ourselves we want to portray to the world. What I identified in Warhol that I identify in myself is the masks that sensitive people need to wear in order to live in a world they feel so incredibly deeply about all of the time. Being told you're too much, too sensitive, too passionate, too emotional, it's not too much, it's how we are misunderstood. He sits and looks at you blankly, not to brag, not to show off, or peacock, he doesn't believe you'll accept him if he were to be "too much." So he'd rather be the subject of art, a catalyst avatar of creativity.
