Israfel, Shadow of Perfect Bliss

Many poems have been written about the Angel of Song. The burning one. Herald at dawn. Summoner of the Final Hour. This Angel stands as a permanent reminder of our impermanence. Each note played upon its lyre defined as much my attack as by its limited sustain. A shock of ecstasy followed by a shadow of silence.
