In conceptualizing the idea of translating nervous system electricity into paint, Dave & PADHiA developed the idea of using cross-shaped beds. Allowing for a motionless state of full body surrender and dissociation from the mind, the subtle frequencies within are the only force able to move the paint. The cross bed symbolizes different things to both of them. For Dave: it signifies turning to isolation— turning away from the world in an attempt at self-soothing. For PADHiA it signifies the surrender of control, of letting life take you and have its way with you.
