14- Manhattan Beach, California

In high school, living in a suburb of Houston, TX, I used to watch TV shows like “The OC” and “Laguna Beach” and dream of one day living in a beach town in southern California. I was told it’s too expensive and to be more realistic. I decided to chase my dreams and moved to LA in the summer of 2013 with my pup, Kipling. We spent 9 years in LA and our last year there in 2021 we lived a mile from the beach in Manhattan Beach. Kipling has been with me through all of the highs and lows and always knows when I need to take a long walk with him on the beach to clear my head.
