While on my way to Vermilion Lakes I came across a beautiful moment while overlooking the main highway in Banff; One single RV on the dark road with a fiery sky behind it. It was a remarkable experience to see the Canadian Rockies for the first time in this setting. Like everything else, to see it in person and to experience it first hand, can’t be beat. Seeing the RV as a reference point for scale, illuminating the sheer enormity of the mountains, to stand there and witness this, as someone who grew up his whole life in the city, was honestly mind blowing.
