DESOLATE OASIS

Well before I started taking photography seriously, before I called it my full time job, I would spend hours on end curating my Tumblr to places that I someday wanted to visit. This stunning geological area in Iceland had always been on my bucket list, and in the late summer of 2022 I finally had the chance to visit the area of Laki and Langisjór. These areas of Iceland are quite difficult to visit and only accessible from the middle of July through September, like so many places in the Highlands and also require a 4x4, off-road driving skills and multiple deep river crossings.
