This piece depicts a young boy assisting his parents by going to the lagoon every day in search of fish to be sold. This is a major occurrence in a popular place in Lagos known as “Makoko”. In addition, many kids are supposed to be in school, but have no choice but to stay back home and assist their parents to “bring food to the table”.
Due to the high rate of poverty and unemployment, 25% of earnings from this piece will be used to send at least a kid back to school and also help a trader/hustler on the street.
