In Nigeria (particularly in Lagos), “Keke" or “Keke Maruwa” are other names for tricycles. This is one of the cheapest and fastest public transportation. Some people get these tricycles on an instalment basis to cater for their family’s needs. In addition, many unemployed University graduates (who couldn't find more suitable jobs) are venturing into this business. This piece is a depiction of a hardworking tricycle driver hoping for a better tomorrow.
Due to the high rate of poverty and unemployment, 25% of earnings from every piece will be used to send at least a kid back to school and also help a trader/hustler on the street.
