Glide

I made this piece to study the shape of water. Pools are an endless source of inspiration for me as an artist. I love the dynamic nature of water and the bodies that interact with it. From my point of view, while watching one of my favourite people swim, I noticed the pattern the water forms on her body and how she glides so effortlessly. In the water she is free, a swimmer in her element. With each breath, she takes, a serene picture, like a mermaid in a lake. Glide (The shape of water) by Kacii Eleven 2023
