Circular Release

Circular Release, is the outcome of breaking through the grips produced by a creative impasse—it is also my first fully 3D modeled and textured painting. By cleansing the palette and releasing the pigments into this new canvas, a completely new artwork blossoms, both conceptually and literally. Each flower that blooms from this canvas in full 3D has been based closely on the design of my original painting—each ornament, flower, border was carefully sculpted in 3D to grow from this liquid pigment. The synchronized symmetrical geometry which is revealed in this piece is aimed to capture the euphoria that an artist or any creative feels when they finally see their idea come into fruition.
