Parenting is an adventure full of miracles and challenges. And it is especially rewarding when your child starts teaching you things. This poem is about that.
Led by a little hand
Mountains hold no fears
for you, they simply seem
a place of adventure and cheer.
I see the adventures too, all right,
but my stomach turns
at the sight of dizzying heights.
I hold back.
Your little hand takes mine.
“Come on dad, it will be fine.”
