THE ONEIRIC: Escape

THE ONEIRIC When I created my physical sculpture that this series is based on, MIST, it commented on the oneiric world and its presence in our day to day. Our daydreams are full of fantasy, endless paths, and possibilities. Providing us hope for, insight into, and escape from the surrounding ‘real’ life. We can see how a mysterious dreamy smoke sprouts from the shoulders of the character, flowing into the reality surrounding him and mixing with its environment. Sculpting the smoke element in clay with my own hands, it was a difficult mission to achieve the effect I intended.
