REST IN PARADISE

The Cimitero monumentale di Staglieno in Genoa, is one of the most beautiful and largest cemeteries in Europe. It is known for incredibly detailed sculptures and monumental tombs. Because of the age of some tombs and especially because of the size of the cemetery, there are also many forgotten places to discover. This old family tomb is located in a very remote part. The last persons were buried here in the 70's and it is an architectural beauty that is completed with a staircase that surrounds the tomb from both sides. Slowly but surely it is engulfed by tropical plants and one could think one has discovered a historical burial place in the jungle.
