Tattoo “flash” sheets are collections of pre-drawn illustrations that showcase available designs to be tattooed. Gossamer's flash sheets explore the evolution of their artistic style for tattooing. Simplification and adaptation from Gossamer’s detailed pencil and ink illustrations was necessary for a design to have longevity as skin ages, and to ensure the design could be completed in a time frame reasonable for handpoke (non-machine) tattoo methods. As Gossamer's skill increased, designs became more colorful, complex, and larger in scale.
