The smooth, tapered spires and the variable-shaped hoodoos reach quietly for the sky. Vibrant layers built over time are now worn smooth from the weathered years. The colorful clay was used by Native Americans to create their paint. There is evidence of life here back 9,000 years. Many times they have walked hand and hand at sunrise.
