Mermaid Face

The mermaid is one of the very first photos I took in this series. My father did not allow himself to be photographed because he was worried that people would laugh at him, he was angry with me for suggesting that he should be a laughingstock. After my dad and mom moved from the big city to the village, he changed, became more open, calm and kind. Perhaps the big city made him nervous, always having to go somewhere, traffic jams, lots of people... After moving to the village, he allowed me to dress him in different costumes, and thanks to him, I was able to continue my project. Ukraine. June 2021
