They are apex predators and need to be respected, but these beautiful creatures should not keep you out of the water in fear. Instead, they should draw you in, in awe. It is why these uncaged shark dives are such a great experience. The lack of a physical barrier allows for mental barriers to be broken. Showing that sharks are not these man-eating creatures, and they are actually quite timid of you.
