Blue Monday

The initial outline for this in P5js had 888 squares, however such a lucky number doesn't really fit with the feel of "Blue Monday" and so certain squares were deleted according to aesthetic need. The colours were chosen according to a custom blue harmony constructed in the Adobe Colour Wheel app and then painted using the conte brushes on top of a linen canvas in Corel Painter.
