I wrote, produced, and engineered this song at my home studio in Las Vegas. Often times I finish songs quickly, but "Monday - Friday" is an outlier that took months. I pushed myself creatively on this song, and I think that's why I've grown so attached to it.
The intro begins with drowsy chords and an entrancing four on the floor kick pattern. Before things become stale the beat quickly transforms into hard hitting halftime drums with glitched music to kick off a verse. Bouncing back and forth between grooves isn't very common, and in my opinion it's what makes this song stand out.
