Enma Daio

Enma Daiō or "Great King Enma" 閻魔大王 This god Is widely accepted in mythology as the ruler of hell and one of the 13 judges of the dead. He is depicted dressed as a government official in the appropriate robes. He is almost always seen with a stern expression on his face. Enma’s chief duty is to judge the souls of the newly dead and keeps a great scroll which is a record all of the good and evil deeds of each person. Legend also states that he is in charge of the torturing and suffering in hell, making sure that all souls gets enough punishment.
