Aobōzu or "Blue priest" 青あお坊ぼ主うず
This strange yōkai is found in a number of myths and legends. the Aobōzu is typically depicted as a large humanoid figure resembling a bōzu or (priest). He is said to have blueish skin and a third eye on his forehead. Legend states that this creature would hide in the fields close to villages and kidnap children on their way home for supper. The legend is used in part as a means of keeping children from going out into the fields at night, however as many myths it is believed to based in some part on actual events.
