Life After Death

Art reflects life: post mortem is a snapshot of the COVID-19 experience, chronicling the symptoms, the mundane monotony of isolation, and one woman's journey through immense loss juxtaposed with unfathomable joy. 

This collection is a time capsule of the pandemic that claimed 6.28 million souls, including the writer's father. It is an offering to facilitate collective processing of shared trauma. Together, we emerge stronger, more resilient, more focused on the world we want to inhabit.

denial disbelief resistance  
bargaining negotiating  
trade-offs exchanging  
guilt blame shame  
sadness despair desperation  
anger rage explosion  
nostalgia reminiscing  
destitute  
rebuilding reframing  
strengthening fortifying  
hopefulness.
