The Distraction of Man

This artwork functions at 3 main levels. The first, and most clear is to pay homage to the great Michelangelo and the creation of Adam, because modern art would not be where it is without this rich history. The second, is to use this rendition to speak to the condition of our modern world. We are so engrossed in media, that we ignore the wonderful essence of Life, patiently awaiting our recognition. And despite these distractions, man instinctively reaches back, because it’s in our nature. The third and final level, was to encapsulate these ideas with my personal style of shape language, color harmony, and cultural references in the hairstyles. The Distraction of Man. (Gamo 2022)
