The theme of this work is fireworks and festivals, which symbolizes summer in Japan. With fireworks as the central theme, it consists of the water surface reflecting the fireworks, the city lights in the distance, the silhouettes of the torii gates and arch bridge, and the twinkling lanterns. The shady black background expresses the smoky atmosphere. The drawing algorithm of the work is inspired by traditional woodblock prints and contemporary scratch art. Base layer is drawn with pale watercolor-like gradation. On top of that, the shady black background is drawn. Then, the outline of the fireworks is carved out.
