Out of frame
Clearly this car hit something/someone and dragged it over a small distance.
I hope it was something and not someone.
I do love the composition, the car out of frame but not quite. It makes you want to see more but as a viewer you’re left to use your imagination.
That is the power that lies in most these images.
Chalk was used to visualize the trajectory of the vehicles involved.
In these photographs it often creates a focus point where otherwise there would be none.
Sometimes the chalk almost seems burnt into the image.
Pure white in sharp contrast to the brutality of a car crash.
