The guide of Koinobori

The theme of this work is "Balancing Freedom and Responsibility." May 5th is established as Children's Day in Japan, and the carp streamers depicted in this illustration symbolize that. Every year on Children's Day, I create artworks themed around carp streamers, and this time, Nigi-chan has finally taken the position of leading the carp. Leading the carp is akin to leading children, representing the sense of responsibility that comes with ascending the steps of adulthood. This work reflects the struggle of balancing that responsibility while freely expressing lines outside the frame, aiming to unleash one's core desires.
