In this photograph, you can see several important compositional elements: - the big white snowy part of the mountain is balanced by the small black boat that moves in the other direction; - the beautiful calm landscape is "broken" by the ripples created by the moving boat to give a more dynamic feel to the image; - a series of horizontal lines which are essential to balance the composition.
