The Murricane

Dan Aykroyd and John Belushi owned an old blues bar that hosted the afterparties for the SNL cast members during the late ’70s. Whenever Bill was moody on set, the cast members nicknamed his Category 5 antics “The Murricane”. So it was no surprise that fellow cast member, Dan Aykroyd, created an actual Murricane cocktail. In this libation, bourbon is shaken with a high-minded mixture of basil, watermelon juice, and elderflower liqueur, then flecked with black pepper.
