I’m just a portrait photographer for interstellar plasma. Night Phoenix showcases the glorious star-forming structures of NGC 2174.
Using narrowband filters, I have isolated the photons being released by the ionized gas clouds. As a result, this nebula appears quite bright and vibrant in the night sky.
A telescope is, in many ways, a time machine. Using light and glass, we have access to the past in a very limited sense.
Theoretically it is possible to move into the future relative to other beings if we can travel at great speeds. But time travel into the past leads to paradox after paradox. Bound by the apparent nature of reality, using the properties of light, I gather what I can.
