The Unstable Diffusion

An attempt to capture the spontaneous and painful mental dissonance caused by anxiety and inbred weirdness. The art combines a trained probabilistic diffusion model (a set of parametrised Markov chains) and various genart post-processing techniques. Inspired by the late Francisco Goya's Black Paintings series that he created in seclusion, unwell, deaf and isolated from the public. This group of 14 paintings is considered to be one of the most intense reflections of the torments of the artist's sickly mind. For the curious ones, each "Diffusion" carries 12 secret words.
