The culture of generosity that defines Burning man does not simply appear out of thin air, but it is based upon a set of Ten Principles, a code of conduct that includes, Gifting, Civic Responsibility and Radical Self expression. “Burning Man is devoted to acts of gift giving. The value of a gift is unconditional. Gifting does not contemplate a return or an exchange of a gift of equal or value” Gifting can shift people from “how can I make my experience better” to “how can i make someone else's experience better” it becomes about how we can receive joy from others joy.
