In 1989 the Berlin Wall came down. The Cold War ended in 1991 and it is not surprising that a short animated film, that strikes a chord with viewers of all ages and from all background til this day, won an Oscar in 1990 for creating an artwork, clear and precise, that distilled the energy and shift in the global “Balance" into 8min of stop motion film. Five figures on a floating platform, dependent on each others position in order to not fall into the void. And then a mysterious box appears.
