Reclaimed Landscapes

Revealed between Aug 25 and Sep 14: "Reclaimed Landscapes" examines the intersection between machine and human art. From 750 artificially landscape images created by an generative adversarial network (short: GAN, a type of image generating AI), 20 images were picked as reference pictures and recreated as hand painted watercolor landscapes. Just as GANs are built on the basis of millions of human generated images, the collection turns the tables and "reclaims" the art space using hundreds of machine works.
