The Peloponnesian War

August 2017 - July 2021 The Peloponnesian War is a collection of 200 images that retells the story of Thucydides' History of the Peloponnesian War using Ancient Greek vase imagery. Created over four years using an iPhone 6S and iPhone X, the series juxtaposes three different systems of signification: 1) text fragments from The Peloponnesian War by Thucydides 2) Greek vase paintings and 3) elements from contemporary society and intellectual history, including mathematical formulas, corporate logos, web advertisements, information theory diagrams, newspaper fragments and more.
