Welcome to Wonderland!

When you think of Great Britain, you think of football, the Queen and of course fish & chips. But for me there is nothing more British than our seasides. Once Summer crowds disperse, and Winter sets in, the seaside towns of Britain are forgotten as we opt for warm sun and sandy beaches. The arcades are quiet, theme parks empty and an unnatural hush settles. Caravan parks close down and the doors lock until the Summer crowds come again. While retired locals walk past the same shuttered buildings every day, and the seagulls pick at non existent crumbs, the soft winter light moves across the beach, casting light through the windows of closed cafes.
