IM NOT VERY GOOD AT SHARING is a portrait series that depicts senses of loneliness, isolation, and detachment. In my life I trend towards reclusivity - a fear to share inner emotion. This isolation creates distance from the ones around me and the inability to communicate and translate thoughts grows. These photographs exemplify this - violent inner struggle found in silence of distance. Importance is placed on surroundings to create mystery about the subject - what we see is a sliver of a more complex story. I love capturing the human form and face.
