Wilman | Minimal Skies

Minimal Skies is a set of 64 x 1/1 edition photographs about finding escape in busy urban spaces. I first started shooting this series in 2011 as a way of finding calm and tranquility amongst the fighting and jostling attention seeking environment of the city. It became my escape, a way for my mind to breathe isolated against the bold blue of a clear sky. It became about capturing fleeting moments and quirky details that would otherwise be lost in the hustle and bustle. Everywhere I would go over the next ten years I would collect these moments of quiet as I traveled between New York, Copenhagen, Miami, London & Zaragoza.
