A Decade of Shooting from the Hip by Scott Strazzante

In 2012, I started photographing with an iPhone and the Hipstamatic app for the first time. Having a camera in my pocket has transformed my photography from a formal professional day job to an intimate, spontaneous documentation of how I see the world. When I am working for my newspaper or a client, I feel pressure to make images that answer questions, but with my iPhoneography, I can rely on serendipity, motion, and mood to give a viewer the ability to interpret the moments I capture with their own eyes and mind.
