From the mountains of my mind, from deep sea to dark sky, how have I made it this far?

 These textured landscapes are created using photographs, digitally layered. Each begins with a base layer of a landscape featuring mountains. A golden disc is placed on top to embellish the scene and add to the sense of awe. 

 
As a photographer, I have often felt limited in ability to truly represent the awesomeness of nature. In particular, the feeling of overwhelming serenity I feel when in the presence of mountains.
